1. Summary
The app uses the city you choose to retrieve weather information. We do not sell personal information and do not use advertising SDKs.
2. Information used by the app
City searches and forecast requests. When you search for or select a city, the search text and geographic coordinates associated with that city are sent to the weather service to return location and forecast results.
Technical information. Essential service providers may process limited technical information such as an app installation identifier, device and operating system information, IP address, request timestamps, and diagnostic network data. This information supports service delivery, security, and reliability.
Information we do not request. Outdoor Planner does not require your name, email address, account credentials, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise device location to provide its core features.
3. Service providers
Outdoor Planner relies on the following providers:
- Open-Meteo provides city search and weather forecast data. Its servers may receive request information, including IP addresses and requested locations. Review the Open-Meteo Terms and Privacy information.
- Google Firebase supports essential app services and may process limited installation and technical information. Review Firebase Privacy and Security.
- Netlify hosts this support website and may process standard server logs when you visit it. Review the Netlify Privacy Statement.
Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy practices.
4. Local storage and retention
The app may store your latest selected city, recent forecast information, and basic preferences locally on your device. This helps the app show previously loaded information during a temporary connection issue.
Outdoor Planner does not operate a user-account database. Information processed by service providers is retained according to each provider’s policy. Deleting the app removes information stored in the app’s local container.
5. Your choices
- You can choose which city to search for and load.
- You can stop network requests by using the app offline, although new searches and forecasts will not be available.
- You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app.
- You may contact us with privacy questions using the email address below.
6. Children’s privacy
Outdoor Planner is a general-audience weather utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information involved. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their legal and contractual safeguards.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, applicable laws, or service providers change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
